Dr. Jason Nolan
Dr. Jason Nolan has been at Community Pathology since 2007. Dr. Nolan received his medical degree at The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee. He then completed a combined residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following his residency Dr. Nolan completed a subspecialty fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology.
Dr. Nolan has a special interest in hematopathology, particularly the diagnosis of leukemia and lymphoma. He also serves as the laboratory director for Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Livingston Regional Medical Center, Cumberland County Hospital, and Monroe County Medical Center. Dr. Nolan also serves on the Board of Directors for Cookeville Regional Medical Center, and is the current president of the Tennessee Society of Pathologists. Dr. Nolan and his wife reside in Cookeville and are the proud parents of two daughters.
Dr. Nicholaus Hilliard
Dr. Nicholaus Hilliard has been at Vivid Pathology since 2008. Dr. Hilliard received his medical degree at The University of Alabama School of Medicine. He then completed a combined residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following his residency Dr. Hilliard completed a subspecialty fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr Hilliard then moved to Houston TX to complete the Selective Surgical Pathology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2007. Dr Hilliard then completed his final fellowship in dermatopathology at UAB in 2008. He is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, hematopathology, and dermatopathology.
Dr. Hilliard has a special interest in the intersection between hematopathology and dermatopathology particularly the diagnosis of cutaneous lymphoma from inflammatory dermatoses. Dr. Hilliard also is specialized in neoplastic renal pathology, GU pathology including prostate cancer, and all forms of cutaneous malignancy. He also serves as the laboratory director for Medical Center Clinic in Pensacola, FL. Dr. Hilliard also serves on the Cancer committee at Sacred Heart Hospital. Dr. Hilliard and his wife reside in Pace, Florida and are the proud parents of two daughters.
Dr. Meiklejohn Mckenzie
Dr. Meiklejohn McKenzie joined Community Pathology in 2010. Dr. McKenzie received his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2006. He then completed a combined residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following his residency, Dr. McKenzie completed a subspecialty fellowship in cytopathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. McKenzie also served as visiting fellow at Oupatient Cytopathology Center in Johnson City, Tennessee under Dr. Susan Rollins, an internationally recognized expert in fine needle aspiration. Dr. McKenzie is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and cytopathology.
Dr. McKenzie has special interests in breast pathology and cytopathology. This latter interest includes fine needle aspiration cytology. Dr. McKenzie has also obtained additional certification in ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration by the College of American Pathologists. In 2012, Dr. McKenzie established only the second freestanding fine needle aspiration clinic in the state. The fine needle aspiration clinic at Community Pathology offers patients the opportunity to undergo minimally invasive biopsies of the thyroid, lymph nodes, salivary glands, soft tissue, and breast under ultrasound guidance.
Dr. McKenzie serves as the laboratory director for Community Pathology Laboratory. Dr. McKenzie is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and is a member of the Papanicalaou Society. Away from work, Dr. McKenzie spends his time with his wife and three young sons as well as cheering for his alma mater, the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!!
